# Account Security: Protect Your Warfront Nations Account
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/account-security
Keep your Warfront Nations account safe — secure your password, understand login sessions, and know what to do if your account is compromised.
Your account security is one of the most important things you can manage as a Warfront Nations player. Losing access to your account — or having it taken over — can undo months of carefully built progress, alliances, and hard-won territory. A few simple habits go a long way toward keeping your nation safe.
## Password Best Practices
Your password is the first line of defence for your account. Follow these guidelines to keep it strong:
* **Use a unique password** — don't reuse a password from another website or game. If that other service is ever breached, attackers will try the same credentials on other accounts.
* **Make it strong** — use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. A longer passphrase (four or more random words) is both strong and easier to remember.
* **Use a password manager** — tools like Bitwarden or 1Password can generate and store strong, unique passwords for every site, so you only need to remember one master password.
* **Change your password immediately if you suspect a problem** — if you notice any suspicious activity on your account, don't wait. Reset your password right away.
Warfront Nations stores your password using encryption. We never see or store your plain-text password — only a secure hash is kept on our servers.
## Login Sessions
When you sign in, Warfront Nations creates a session that keeps you logged in for up to **7 days**. Here's what that means in practice:
* You won't need to sign in again on your personal device for up to a week.
* Sessions are protected by secure, encrypted cookies designed to guard against common web attacks.
* **Always log out when using a shared or public device** — on a library computer, a friend's machine, or any device that isn't yours, manually sign out when you're done. Don't rely on the session expiring on its own.
* Logging in from a new or unrecognised device may trigger additional security checks to verify it's really you.
## Device Recognition
To protect your account from unauthorised access, Warfront Nations uses device fingerprinting when you log in or register. The game collects basic technical details about your browser environment, including:
* Browser type and version
* Operating system
* Screen resolution
* Browser language
This information is used **only for account security** — specifically, to detect login attempts from devices that don't match your usual pattern. If a login looks suspicious, additional checks may be triggered before access is granted. This is a security feature, not advertising or behavioural tracking.
## Device Verification
Device verification protects your account when login behavior changes. If **both** the device fingerprint **and** the IP address change, the account may require email verification before login continues.
The verification token:
* Is sent by **email**
* **Expires after 24 hours**
* Must be used from the **same device** that triggered verification
* Is **cleared after successful verification**
* Can be **resent** while still valid
## Two Sign-In Methods
Warfront Nations supports two ways to access your account. Choose the one that fits how you manage your online security.
The standard sign-in method uses the email address and password you provided at registration.
* Keep your password strong and unique (see the guidelines above).
* Never share your password with anyone — Warfront Nations staff will never ask for it.
* If you forget your password, use the **Forgot Password** flow (see below) to securely reset it.
* Consider using a password manager to generate and store a strong password you don't have to memorise.
You can sign in to Warfront Nations using your Google account instead of a separate password. When you do:
* Warfront Nations receives your name, email address, and Google profile picture from Google. No other Google account data is accessed.
* Your sign-in is secured by Google's own authentication systems — including any two-factor authentication (2FA) you have enabled on your Google account.
* If you use Google's 2FA (such as an authenticator app or a hardware key), that protection automatically applies to your Warfront Nations login as well.
Google OAuth is a great option if you want an extra layer of security without managing a separate password.
## Forgot Your Password?
If you can't remember your password, resetting it is straightforward:
Visit [warfront-nations.com/forgot-password](https://warfront-nations.com/forgot-password) in your browser.
Type in the email address associated with your Warfront Nations account and submit the form.
Look for an email from Warfront Nations with a password reset link. Check your spam or junk folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes.
Click the link in the email and follow the on-screen instructions to choose a new, strong password. The link expires after a short time for security reasons, so use it promptly.
## If Your Account Is Compromised
If you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission — unusual activity, changed settings, unrecognised purchases, or messages you didn't send — act immediately:
1. **Contact support right away** at [info@warfront-nations.com](mailto:info@warfront-nations.com).
2. **Describe what you've noticed** — include details like when you first saw the problem, what changed, and any relevant context about your recent logins.
3. **The team will investigate** and work with you to secure your account and help you regain access as quickly as possible.
The sooner you report a compromise, the more the team can do to help. Don't wait and hope the problem resolves itself.
## Deleting Your Account
If you decide you no longer want to play Warfront Nations and want your data removed, you can request full account deletion:
**In-game self-service deletion** is available through an authenticated account deletion endpoint in your account settings. This is a **permanent deletion** path in the backend — not just a profile deactivation. All of your data — account, profile, game history, chat messages, and any associated information — is removed.
You can also request deletion by email:
1. Send an email to [info@warfront-nations.com](mailto:info@warfront-nations.com) requesting account deletion.
2. Include the username and email address associated with your account so support can identify it.
3. All of your data will be permanently and fully deleted.
There is no fine print, no grace period used to retain your data, and no hidden copies. Deletion means deletion.
Do not share your account credentials with anyone — not friends, alliance members, or anyone claiming to be Warfront Nations staff. You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account. Account sharing violates the Terms of Service and can result in your account being suspended or permanently banned.
# State Alliances in Warfront Nations
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/alliances
How state-to-state alliances work in Warfront Nations — mutual ally relationships set by state leaders or parliament bills.
In Warfront Nations, an **alliance is a mutual relationship between two states** — not a separate group, clan, or organization you join. There is no alliance roster, no alliance leader, and no alliance chat. Two states simply mark each other as allies, and that relationship is reflected on both sides.
If you want a player-organized group, that's what **parties** are (see [Parliament & Elections](/guide/parliament-and-elections)). If you want shared chat or coordination, that's what [group chats](/guide/news-and-community) are.
## How Alliances Work
* Alliances are stored as **mutual state relationships**. When state A allies with state B, **both** states list each other as allies automatically.
* If the two states were previously **enemies**, the enemy relationship is **removed** when an alliance is formed.
* Alliances are between **states**, not individual players. Joining or leaving a state changes which alliances apply to you.
## Who Can Set Alliances
| Government type | How alliances are changed |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Republic** | Adding or removing an ally goes through a [parliament bill](/guide/parliament-and-elections). Requires MP approval. |
| **Dictatorship** | The state leader can add or remove allies directly. |
There is no application, invitation, or recruitment flow. One side proposes the change through the correct governance path; the other side does the same to make the relationship reciprocal in their records.
## What Being Allied Actually Does
Alliances affect a few concrete game systems:
* **Diplomatic status** — both states see each other as allies in state and region views.
* **Enemy clearing** — declaring an alliance removes any standing enemy declaration between the two states.
* **Coordination signal** — other players can see the relationship and treat it as a public commitment.
Alliances do **not** automatically share resources, treasury, troops, or chat. Any cooperation beyond the relationship flag is up to players to organize manually (group chats, manual market trades, coordinated war participation).
## Ending an Alliance
Either side can end the alliance through the same governance path used to create it:
* In a **republic**, parliament passes a bill to remove the ally.
* In a **dictatorship**, the leader removes the ally directly.
Once removed on one side, the relationship is no longer mutual. The other state can then choose to drop the ally on their side as well, or leave the asymmetric record in place.
## Joining a State (Not an Alliance)
If you want to be part of an allied community, what you actually join is a **state**, not an alliance. Travel to a region in that state and meet any residency requirements set by the state. Once you're in the state, every alliance and enemy declaration that state holds applies to you while you remain a member.
See [States & Regions](/guide/states-and-regions) for how states are structured and [Travel](/guide/travel) for moving between them.
Player-led groups like **parties** (covered in [Parliament & Elections](/guide/parliament-and-elections)) are the closest thing in Warfront Nations to a "guild" or "clan." Parties have members, a leader, and join requests. State alliances are a separate, state-level diplomatic relationship.

# Create Your Warfront Nations Account and Start Playing
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/creating-an-account
Register for Warfront Nations using your email or Google account, verify your email, and choose your starting region to begin your conquest.
Getting into Warfront Nations takes just a few minutes. You register with either an email address and password or your existing Google account, pick a starting region on the world map, and you're in. This page walks you through every step of the process so you can start your conquest without delay.
## Registration Steps
Open your browser and navigate to [warfront-nations.com/register](https://warfront-nations.com/register). You don't need to install anything — the game runs entirely in your browser.
Warfront Nations gives you two ways to create your account. Pick whichever works best for you.
Fill in the registration form with the following details:
* **Username** — your public in-game name that other players will see
* **Email address** — used for account verification and password recovery
* **Password** — choose something strong and unique
Once you've filled in all fields, click **Register** to submit your details.
Click the **Sign in with Google** button on the registration page. You'll be redirected to Google's authentication flow, where you can select your Google account with a single click. No extra form to fill out — Google passes your account details to Warfront Nations automatically.
Before your account is created, you'll be prompted to select a region from a dropdown on the registration page. This choice places your nation on the world map and determines which territories and players you'll be neighbors with from day one. Take a moment to think about where you want to start — see [Choosing Your Region](#choosing-your-region) below for guidance.
If you registered with an email address and password, Warfront Nations will send a verification email to the address you provided. Open the email and click the confirmation link to activate your account. Until you verify, you won't be able to log in.
If you signed up with Google, email verification is handled automatically — you can skip straight to logging in.
Head to [warfront-nations.com/home](https://warfront-nations.com/home) and log in with your credentials or Google account. Once you're in, the new-player onboarding introduction launches automatically and walks you through the basics of the game interface.
## Choosing Your Region
Your starting region is more than just a pin on a map — it defines your early game. The region you select determines where your nation is positioned on the shared global map, which means it shapes who your immediate neighbors are, which territories you can expand into first, and which players or alliances you'll encounter right away.
If you already have friends playing Warfront Nations, consider choosing a region close to theirs so you can coordinate early. If you prefer to go it alone, pick a region that suits your strategy — some areas are more resource-rich, while others offer stronger defensive geography.
## Verification and Devices
**Email accounts** require email verification before you can log in. Open the link sent to your inbox to activate your account.
**OAuth accounts** (such as Google) are created as **active and pre-verified** \— you can log in immediately.
### Device Fingerprinting
Registration uses **device fingerprinting** (browser, OS, screen, language). A device fingerprint is required for normal registration.
When a known account logs in from both a **changed device** and a **changed IP**, the game may require **device verification by email**:
* The verification link is sent to your account email
* It **expires after 24 hours**
* It must be opened from the **same device** that requested it
See [Account Security](/guide/account-security) for the full device verification flow.
## After Registration
Once you log in for the first time, Warfront Nations automatically launches a new-player onboarding introduction. This guided flow walks you through the game interface, explains your starting nation, and points you toward your first actions. The game tracks your progress through this introduction in the background so it picks up where you left off if you close your browser and come back later.
You must be at least 13 years old to register for and play Warfront Nations. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and agree to the Terms of Service.
## Forgot Your Password?
If you registered with an email address and can't remember your password, visit [warfront-nations.com/forgot-password](https://warfront-nations.com/forgot-password). Enter the email address associated with your account and click **Submit**. You'll receive a password reset link in your inbox — follow the link to choose a new password and regain access to your account.
# Diplomacy and Inter-Nation Relations in Warfront Nations
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/diplomacy
Master diplomacy in Warfront Nations: negotiate with rivals, form non-aggression pacts, and use political power to shape the world without firing a shot.
Diplomacy in Warfront Nations goes far beyond signing a formal alliance. Skilled players use negotiation, reputation, and carefully cultivated political relationships to reshape the balance of power — sometimes without ever deploying a single unit. Whether you are brokering a ceasefire, recruiting a neutral nation into your coalition, or quietly undermining a rival's alliances, diplomacy is a force multiplier that every serious commander should master.
Diplomacy in Warfront Nations is entirely player-driven. There is no automated treaty system, no AI arbitrator, and no game mechanic that enforces agreements. Everything rests on player reputation, communication, and mutual interest. This makes your word — and your track record — your most valuable diplomatic asset.
## Enemies, Borders, and Travel
### Enemy Declarations
Enemy declarations are **mutual**. If one state declares another as an enemy:
* **Both** states list each other as enemies.
* If they were previously allies, the **alliance is removed**.
### Open vs. Closed Borders
**Open borders** allow players to travel into the state without a separate permission request.
**Closed borders** restrict travel unless another rule allows it:
* Same-state travel
* Independent-region travel
* State leader travel
* An approved travel permission request
See [Travel](/guide/travel) for the full permission flow.
### Border Crossing Tax
When a player crosses from one state into another, the destination state can collect a **border crossing tax** based on the travel cost (default 10%, capped at 50%). This revenue goes to the destination state's treasury.
## Types of Diplomatic Relations
Your nation can maintain a spectrum of relationships with other players at any given time. Understanding each type helps you manage your strategic position on the world stage:
| Relationship | Description |
| ----------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Allies** | Nations bound by a formal alliance agreement — mutual defense, coordinated attacks, and shared resources. See the [Alliances guide](/guide/alliances) for full details. |
| **Non-Aggression Pact** | An informal agreement between two nations to refrain from attacking each other for a defined period or under specified conditions. |
| **Trade Agreement** | A mutual economic arrangement where nations exchange resources or coordinate production to benefit both parties. |
| **Neutral** | No active agreement in either direction — you neither cooperate nor openly oppose each other. |
| **Rival / Active War** | An open state of conflict. See the [Warfare guide](/guide/warfare) for how combat mechanics work once hostilities begin. |
Most players maintain a mix of these simultaneously — formal alliances with a few trusted partners, non-aggression pacts with neighbors, and active rivalries with competitors on the far side of the map.
## Communicating With Other Players
Diplomacy depends on communication. Warfront Nations provides in-game messaging so you can reach out directly to other commanders — whether to open negotiations, issue ultimatums, or simply build rapport before proposing a formal agreement.
Use messages strategically:
* **Be clear and specific** when proposing terms — vague offers invite misunderstanding and are easier to walk away from
* **Document agreements in writing** by keeping a record of what was exchanged in the message thread, since there is no in-game treaty log
* **Follow up regularly** with key diplomatic partners to keep relationships warm and catch problems early
For broader coordination and real-time strategy discussion, the Warfront Nations community on Discord (see [News & Community](/guide/news-and-community)) is an active venue for inter-alliance diplomacy.
## Non-Aggression Pacts
A non-aggression pact (NAP) is one of the most practical diplomatic tools in your arsenal. By agreeing with a neighboring nation to hold fire — even temporarily — you free yourself to focus military resources on other fronts without leaving your flank exposed.
NAPs are particularly useful when:
* You are already engaged in a demanding conflict and cannot maintain a two-front war
* A neighbor is too strong to fight profitably right now but not threatening enough to warrant immediate action
* You are building toward a larger alliance and need time to develop trust with a potential partner
Set clear terms when proposing a NAP: how long it lasts, what constitutes a violation, and what notice is required before either side can end it. A well-defined pact prevents accidental escalation and gives both parties a reliable foundation to build on.
## Diplomatic Leverage
Your negotiating position is shaped by much more than goodwill. The stronger your nation, the more valuable your friendship — and the more costly your enmity. Three pillars drive your diplomatic leverage:
* **Military strength** — a nation with powerful armed forces can make promises of protection that carry real weight, and threats that rivals take seriously
* **Economic power** — resource-rich nations can offer trade incentives that others genuinely need, making economic partnerships attractive enough to maintain
* **Political office** — holding government positions (see the [Politics guide](/guide/politics)) amplifies your influence, giving you access to legislative levers and a public platform that extends your reach beyond bilateral deals
Build all three where you can. The most effective diplomats in Warfront Nations are not just persuasive — they are formidable enough that others want to stay on their good side.
Maintaining a strong reputation as a reliable partner is one of the best long-term investments you can make. Players who honor their agreements consistently attract higher-quality allies, receive better terms in negotiations, and find it easier to build coalitions when it matters most. A single betrayal, by contrast, can follow your nation's name for the entire life of a game world.
## Breaking Agreements
Violating a diplomatic agreement is always a choice with consequences. When you break a NAP, renege on a trade deal, or backstab an ally, the immediate tactical gain may be real — but the costs compound over time:
* **Reputational damage** — other players talk. Word spreads quickly through the community that your agreements are not reliable, making future diplomacy significantly harder
* **Coalition response** — your target's allies may treat the violation as grounds to enter the conflict, transforming a bilateral dispute into a multi-front war
* **Isolation** — a nation known for treachery often finds itself excluded from the major alliances and trade networks that sustain long-term growth
Breaking an agreement is sometimes the right call — if an ally has already betrayed you, if the strategic opportunity is decisive, or if the game world has shifted dramatically. When you do it, do it deliberately, be prepared for the fallout, and move quickly to shape the narrative.
## World-Stage Diplomacy
As alliances grow in size and influence, diplomacy extends beyond individual nations to the macro level. Large coalitions negotiate with each other over spheres of influence, contested territories, and the overall balance of power on the world map.
At this scale, your individual nation's diplomatic relationships become part of a larger bloc dynamic. The way your alliance positions itself — aggressive expansionist, defensive stabilizer, neutral broker — shapes how other power blocs respond to you. Savvy players look for opportunities to:
* **Broker peace** between warring factions to build goodwill and political capital with both sides
* **Drive wedges** between rival alliances by exploiting tensions among their members
* **Coordinate bloc-level agreements** that define borders and reduce costly, resource-draining conflict across multiple nations
The balance of power in Warfront Nations is never static. Alliances rise, fracture, and reform as the map evolves — and the players who understand diplomacy at every scale, from bilateral NAPs to world-spanning coalitions, are the ones who endure.
# Warfront Nations Economy: Build Factories and Earn Gold
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/economy
Master the Warfront Nations economy — build factories, manage resources, earn income from jobs, and fund your military to dominate the world.
A strong economy is the backbone of every successful nation in Warfront Nations. Armies need to be paid, buildings need to be constructed, and every move you make on the world stage costs something. Players who master the economic side of the game never run short of the resources they need to act decisively — while their under-funded rivals sit idle, waiting for their next income cycle to tick over.
**Where to go for specifics:**
* [Resources & Energy](/guide/resources-and-energy) — Money, Gold, Energy, oil, ore, uranium, diamonds, and regen rules
* [Training & Progression](/guide/training-and-progression) — intelligence (factory multiplier) and premium speedups
* [Market & Crafting](/guide/market-and-crafting) — selling raw resources and crafting tanks, airplanes, and ships
* [Politics](/guide/politics) — income tax, border tax, treasury, and closed-border maintenance
* Factory creation, upgrades, wages, workers, and production formulas are documented in the **Factory Mechanics** section below
## Economic Fundamentals
Your economy operates as a continuous cycle: territory and activity generate income, income funds construction and military operations, and a stronger military lets you seize more territory. Breaking into a higher tier of this cycle — or disrupting your enemy's version of it — is the core of strategic economic play.
At any given moment your economy has three moving parts:
* **Income** — Gold flowing in from jobs, factories, and the regions you control.
* **Resources** — Raw materials extracted from your territory that support production and reduce costs.
* **Expenditure** — The ongoing cost of maintaining your military, constructing buildings, and funding operations.
Keeping income ahead of expenditure while investing the surplus into growth is the fundamental discipline the game rewards.
## Gold: The In-Game Currency
Gold is the primary currency of Warfront Nations. Almost everything you do requires it — building new facilities, training military units, upgrading existing infrastructure, and participating in political and diplomatic activities all draw from the same gold pool.
You earn gold through multiple channels: completing jobs, operating factories, and benefiting from the resources your regions produce. You spend it on the buildings, armies, and upgrades that make your nation more powerful. Managing this flow — making sure you always have enough on hand for the actions you want to take without sitting on idle reserves that could be put to work — is the core economic skill in the game.
## Earning Income
### Jobs
Taking jobs is the most accessible income stream available to every player, including brand-new commanders with only a starting region to their name. Navigate to the **Jobs** section from the main navigation bar to browse available positions and accept work that suits your current situation. Jobs pay out gold on a regular schedule, giving you a reliable base income that does not depend on owning factories or large amounts of territory.
See the [First Steps guide](/guide/first-steps) for a walkthrough of how to find and start your first jobs.
### Factories
Factories are the industrial engine of your economy. Once you construct a factory in one of your regions, it generates gold income each cycle automatically. The more factories you build and the more developed they become, the larger your passive income grows — freeing you to focus on strategy rather than manually working jobs every session.
Factory output depends on the region you build in. Regions with better infrastructure and more stable security produce more. Prioritize factory construction in your most secure interior regions rather than on vulnerable frontiers where enemy action could destroy your investment.
### Resource Control
Not all territory is created equal. Some regions sit on deposits of valuable resources — materials that either generate direct gold income when extracted or reduce the cost of production throughout your nation. Owning resource-rich territory is a significant economic multiplier, especially in the mid-to-late game when the cost of maintaining a large military starts to bite.
When you are evaluating which regions to target in a military campaign, factor in their resource value alongside their strategic position. A seemingly ordinary-looking region that produces a critical resource may be worth more than a larger region with nothing under the soil.
## Factory Mechanics
Factories scale through three multipliers: education (intelligence), level, and resource bonus. The exact behavior is documented here for players optimizing builds.
### Costs and Limits
| Setting | Value |
| ------------------- | ----------------------------- |
| Creation cost | 200 gold |
| Upgrade cost | 35 gold |
| Max level | 100 |
| Max workers | `min(10 + level - 1, 100)` |
| Resource bonus | `level - 1` %, capped at 100% |
| Factory XP gain | 1 XP per energy spent |
| Upgrade XP required | `2^(level - 1) * 1000` |
Wages can be **percentage** or **fixed**.
### Production Multipliers
```text theme={null}
educationMultiplier = 1 + intelligence / 5
levelMultiplier = 1 + factoryLevel / 5
resourceBonusMultiplier = 1 + resourceBonus / 100
```
### Resource Factories
```text theme={null}
output = floor((energySpent / 10) * resourceBonusMultiplier)
```
### Gold Factories
In addition to the standard output, gold factories produce money:
```text theme={null}
money = floor(
energySpent
* resourcePerWork
* educationMultiplier
* levelMultiplier
* resourceBonusMultiplier
)
```
Stack intelligence (via training) and place high-level factories in regions with strong education indexes — both multipliers compound on every unit of energy spent.
## Spending Wisely
Having gold is only half the challenge — spending it in the right proportions is the other half. Most players lose economic races not because they earn too little, but because they allocate poorly.
**Military costs** are ongoing. Every unit you field has an upkeep cost that hits your treasury every cycle. Overbuilding your military relative to your income is the most common economic mistake new players make. Maintain a force appropriate to your current threat level, not the largest force you can theoretically sustain at your peak income.
**Buildings are investments, not expenses.** A factory that costs 500 gold to build might pay that back in five cycles. Think about the return on each construction decision before you commit. Buildings that generate income or reduce other costs should generally take priority over purely cosmetic or marginal upgrades.
**Reserve a buffer.** Unexpected wars happen. Alliance obligations arise. Always keep enough gold in reserve to respond to a sudden threat without having to halt development or disband units. A reserve of one to two full income cycles' worth of gold is a reasonable baseline to maintain.
## The Economic Dashboard
Your nation's financial status is visible in the **Profile** section and through the economic indicators available in the **States** view. From these screens you can see:
* Your current gold balance and projected income per cycle
* Factory output broken down by region
* Resource extraction rates and current resource levels
* Expenditure on military upkeep and active construction
Check your economic dashboard regularly, especially after any significant military action or construction push. It is the quickest way to spot whether you are drifting into deficit before the situation becomes critical.
## Premium Currency
If you want to accelerate your nation's growth, Warfront Nations lets you purchase gold directly through a secure payment process powered by Stripe. Purchased gold functions exactly like earned gold and can be spent on anything in the game. This is entirely optional — Warfront Nations is fully free-to-play and competitive without spending — but it is there for players who prefer to move faster.
For details on premium options and subscription benefits, see the [Premium guide](/guide/premium).
To put your economic output to work on the battlefield, see the [Warfare guide](/guide/warfare). For a breakdown of the territories that generate your income, visit [States and Regions](/guide/states-and-regions). You can also track global economic competition and rival nation wealth by studying the [World Map](/guide/world-map).
Aim to grow your economy faster than your military in the early game. It feels counterintuitive when rivals are threatening your borders, but a larger economic base lets you build a stronger military later — and sustain it indefinitely — rather than fielding a force you cannot afford to maintain.
Economic strength is not just about gold in your account. A rich nation commands better alliances, higher political influence, and more options in every crisis. Players who neglect their economy eventually find themselves unable to respond to threats that a well-funded rival could handle with ease.
# First Steps in Warfront Nations: Your New Nation Awaits
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/first-steps
A quick-start guide to your first session in Warfront Nations — navigate the interface, build your first structures, and engage with the world.
Your first session in Warfront Nations sets the foundation for everything that comes after. The moment you log in, a world of thousands of live players surrounds your newly formed nation. This guide walks you through the game interface, your most important early actions, and the core concepts you'll lean on every time you play.
## The Game Interface
After you log in, the main navigation bar gives you access to every major area of the game. Here's a quick overview of what each section does:
| Section | What It Does |
| ----------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Home** | Your nation's dashboard — an overview of your stats, recent activity, and alerts requiring your attention. |
| **Jobs** | Browse and take in-game jobs posted by other players and nations to earn gold and build your income. |
| **Wars** | Declare, manage, and monitor active wars against rival nations, and track the global state of conflict. |
| **Profile** | View and edit your public player profile, track your achievements, and review your nation's history. |
| **News** | Read the in-game news feed for world events, server announcements, and community highlights. |
## Your First Session
When you first log in, Warfront Nations automatically launches a guided introduction that highlights the key parts of the interface and explains how your nation works. Follow it from start to finish — it's short but covers the essentials. If you close the browser mid-way, the game remembers your progress and continues where you left off the next time you log in.
Head to the world map to get your bearings. Zoom in on your starting region to see your territory and the nations bordering you. The map is live — every flag, border, and territory marker reflects what thousands of other players are doing right now. Identifying your neighbors early helps you decide whether to extend a hand of diplomacy or prepare your defenses.
Navigate to the **States** section to see the regions you currently control. Each state has its own stats — population, resources, and development level. Understanding what you're working with is the first step toward growing your nation strategically. Note which states are resource-rich and which may need investment before they can contribute meaningfully to your economy.
A strong economy is the backbone of every successful nation. In your states, build your first factory or resource structure to begin generating output. Early economic investment pays off quickly — the gold and materials you produce fund your military, political campaigns, and infrastructure upgrades as you grow.
Open the **Jobs** section and browse the available positions. In-game jobs are posted by players, companies, and governments across the world and are one of the fastest ways to earn gold early in the game. Taking a job also connects you to other players and factions, which can open doors to alliances and political opportunities down the line.
Visit the **News** section to catch up on what's happening in the world. The news feed covers major wars, political elections, economic shifts, and server updates. Staying informed helps you anticipate threats, spot opportunities, and understand the broader context of the world your nation is competing in.
## Key Concepts to Know
A state is a region on the world map that you own and govern. Each state has its own population, resources, and infrastructure. You can develop states by building factories and other structures, and you can gain new states by conquering territory from rival nations or claiming unclaimed regions. Your collection of states makes up your nation.
Gold is the primary in-game currency of Warfront Nations. You earn gold through jobs, economic production, trade, and taxation. You spend it on buildings, military units, political campaigns, and upgrades. Managing your gold income and expenditure carefully is one of the most important skills to develop as a new player.
Wars are formal military conflicts declared between players or alliances. When you declare war on another nation — or have one declared on you — you can deploy your armies to attack their states and defend your own. Wars are resolved in real time, and the outcome depends on the military strength, tactics, and alliances of both sides. You can track all active wars in the **Wars** section.
Alliances are agreements between players to cooperate militarily, economically, or politically. Being part of a strong alliance can protect you from early aggression, give you access to shared resources, and amplify your impact in wars and elections. You can seek out alliances through diplomacy with neighboring nations or by joining an existing alliance organization in the game.
Once you've got the basics down, dive deeper into the [Economy](/guide/economy) and [Warfare](/guide/warfare) guides. Understanding how to scale your production and execute effective military campaigns are the two skills that separate thriving nations from struggling ones.
# Warfront Nations: Build, Conquer, and Dominate the World
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/introduction
Learn what Warfront Nations is, how the game works, and what to expect as a new player in this real-time multiplayer strategy experience.
Welcome to Warfront Nations — a free-to-play, browser-based real-time strategy war game where thousands of players compete on a shared global map. This guide introduces you to the game's core concepts, its six pillars of play, and how to get started on your path to world domination.
## What is Warfront Nations?
Warfront Nations drops you into a persistent online world where every decision you make ripples across the entire map. You build your nation from the ground up — establishing factories, managing resources, and developing regions — while thousands of other real players do the same in real time.
## The Core Loop
Warfront Nations is built around a repeating strategic loop:
> **work → earn resources → train stats → fight wars → capture regions → govern states → shape diplomacy**
You grow **individually** through level, XP, stats (strength, endurance, intelligence), energy, money, gold, and storage. At the same time, you affect the **shared world** through factories, travel, wars, elections, parliament bills, alliances, enemies, and state borders.
Every step of the loop feeds the next: working factories funds training, training improves combat damage, combat captures regions, regions feed your economy and political power, and political power lets you shape state-level policy that affects everyone.
## The Two Sides of Progression
Level and XP, perks (strength, endurance, intelligence), energy regeneration, money, gold, and storage resources. See [Training & Progression](/guide/training-and-progression) and [Resources & Energy](/guide/resources-and-energy).
Factories, [travel](/guide/travel), [wars](/guide/warfare), [elections and parliament bills](/guide/parliament-and-elections), [alliances](/guide/alliances), enemies, and state border policy.
Warfront Nations is completely free to play and requires no download. You can jump straight into the action from any modern browser — no installation, no waiting.
## Who Should Play Warfront Nations?
Warfront Nations is built for players who love deep strategy, whether that means commanding a war campaign, managing a political dynasty, or engineering a dominant economy. If you enjoy games that reward long-term planning, real-time decision-making, and competition against thousands of live opponents, you'll feel right at home. Fans of political simulations, grand strategy titles, and multiplayer war games will all find something to sink their teeth into.

| **Tank** | 10 ore + 5 oil |
| **Airplane** | 8 ore + 3 uranium |
| **Ship** | 12 ore + 8 oil |
Crafted units are deployed in [warfare](/guide/warfare) for damage multipliers — tanks for ground, airplanes for air, ships for sea — or sold on the market for a markup over raw material value.
## Build, Sell, or Stockpile?
* **Sell raw** — fastest cash, lowest margin
* **Craft and sell** — higher margin, ties up materials

# Warfront Nations News Feed and Community Resources
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/news-and-community
Stay informed with the in-game news feed, follow game updates, and connect with the Warfront Nations community on Discord and Reddit.
Staying informed is part of the game. In Warfront Nations, the world moves fast — new conflicts ignite, alliances shift, and game updates can reshape the strategic landscape overnight. The news feed and the broader player community are your first lines of awareness, giving you the information you need to adapt, recruit, and compete at the highest level.
## The In-Game News Feed
The News feed is accessible directly from the main navigation bar at the top of the game interface. Click **News** at any time — from the home screen, the wars panel, your profile, or the jobs board — to open it without leaving the game.
The feed covers three main categories of content:
* **Game updates and feature releases** — official announcements from the Warfront Nations team about new mechanics, balance changes, and major additions to the game
* **Community highlights** — notable events from the player community, including major battles, alliance milestones, and standout player achievements
* **World events** — significant shifts on the global map, large-scale wars, and turning points that affect the strategic landscape for all players
Make it a habit to check the feed before planning major moves. A patch that adjusts combat mechanics, a new feature that unlocks a resource type, or a report of a major alliance collapse can all change what the right next step looks like for your nation.
Check the news feed daily — even a quick scan takes less than a minute and can surface information that changes your plans entirely. Commanders who stay current on world events make better decisions and rarely get caught off guard by shifts in the game's meta.
## Game Updates and Patch Notes
When the Warfront Nations team ships new features or adjusts game balance, the news feed is where those changes are announced first. Patch notes outline exactly what has changed — from tweaks to military unit stats and economic formulas to entirely new mechanics and systems.
Reading patch notes carefully gives you a meaningful edge. When a balance change shifts the relative power of certain strategies, players who understand the update first are the ones who adapt fastest and gain ground while rivals are still catching up. Never skip a patch note during an active campaign.
## Chat and Live Events
Warfront Nations includes in-game chat and live community systems alongside the news feed:
* **Global chat** \— general player conversation across the server.
* **Direct chats** \— 1-on-1 messaging with other players.
* **Group chats** \— multi-player conversations for alliances, parties, or friend groups.
* **State broadcast channels** \— announcements at the state level for leaders and parliament.
* **Unread message counters** in the main navigation so you never miss a reply.
* **World Boss live events** \— shared combat events surfaced in chat as the boss takes damage and approaches defeat.
Discord and Telegram support links are also referenced during account and device support flows.
## Community Resources
The Warfront Nations player community extends well beyond the game itself. Connect with thousands of commanders through the official community channels to find allies, share strategies, and stay ahead of the curve.
Join the official Warfront Nations Discord server for real-time chat, in-depth strategy discussion, and active alliance recruitment. It is the fastest way to connect with other players, get answers to questions, and find coalition partners who match your playstyle.
The Warfront Nations subreddit is home to community-written strategy guides, news discussions, game feedback, and post-battle breakdowns. A great resource for learning from experienced players and contributing your own insights to the community.
The official in-game news feed at warfront-nations.com/news. Bookmark it for quick access to the latest game updates, feature announcements, and community highlights — all in one place.
Need help or have a question for the team? Reach the Warfront Nations support team directly at [info@warfront-nations.com](mailto:info@warfront-nations.com). For bug reports, account issues, or general inquiries, this is your direct line to the developers.
## Staying Competitive
The most successful players in Warfront Nations do not just play the game — they study it. The community generates a constant stream of information that has real strategic value:
* **New meta strategies** emerge and spread through Discord and Reddit as players discover more effective approaches to warfare, economics, and politics; catching these early lets you adapt before they become mainstream
* **Alliance recruitment** moves quickly through community channels — the strongest coalitions fill their rosters from Discord and Reddit, not just in-game messages
* **World event awareness** from other players often surfaces faster than the official news feed, giving you early warning about coalition shifts, major offensives, and emerging power blocs
* **Patch discussion** in the community helps you interpret what balance changes actually mean in practice, with experienced players breaking down the implications in ways that raw patch notes may not make obvious
Treat the community as an extension of your intelligence network. The players who stay engaged — reading, contributing, and building relationships outside the game — consistently outperform those who play in isolation.
# Parliament, Elections, and Bills in Warfront Nations
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/parliament-and-elections
Run for office, win elections, and pass bills. Full election cycles, voting windows, and bill thresholds in Warfront Nations.
## Voting Eligibility
You can vote in elections if you:
* Are a member of a state
* Are **level 5+**
* Have **intelligence 20+**
## Parties
Parties are player-led organizations with a name, description, picture, home region, leader, members, and join requests. Parliamentary parties need at least **3 active members** (activity window: 7 days).
## Elections
| Election | Term | Registration | Voting |
| ---------- | ------ | ------------ | ------ |
| Leadership | 5 days | — | 1 day |
| Parliament | 7 days | 1 day | 1 day |
### Election Statuses
`pending` → `registration` → `active` → `completed`
Leadership elections track individual candidates and voters. Parliamentary elections track party-level vote tallies plus individual candidate lists.
## Parliament
Each state has parliament with a configurable seat count (**default 7**). MPs handle bills, vote on legislation, conduct citizen polling, and issue or override vetoes.
## Bills
### Bill Types
Tax changes, border policy, alliance add/remove, enemy add/remove, war declaration, constitutional changes, impeachment.
### Voting Windows
| Bill Category | Voting Window |
| ------------- | ------------- |
| Normal | 24 hours |
| Major | 48 hours |
| Emergency | 6 hours |
### Pass Thresholds
Thresholds are based on **total MPs**, not only votes cast.
| Bill Category | Required Aye Votes |
| ------------- | ------------------ |
| Normal | 50% of MPs |
| Major | 66% of MPs |
**Major bills:** war declaration, constitutional changes, impeachment.
### Lifecycle
`open` → `passed` / `rejected` → `enacted` / `expired` / `vetoed`
## Voting Mechanics
* **MPs** vote `aye` or `nay` (binding).
* **Citizens** can submit non-binding `support` / `oppose` polls visible to MPs.
* **Leaders** can **veto** passed bills.
* **Veto override:** the data model supports a 75% MP threshold, but the current service enacts passed bills immediately, so veto override is **not actively in use** at this time.
For strategic context on alliances, enemies, and borders see [Politics](/guide/politics) and [Diplomacy](/guide/diplomacy).
# Political Power and Governance in Warfront Nations
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/politics
Rise to political power in Warfront Nations — run for office, win elections, pass legislation, manage budgets, and shape your nation's future.
Warfront Nations includes a full political simulation that lets you govern not just through military force but through leadership and legislation. While armies can seize territory, political power is what lets you shape the laws, budgets, and policies that determine how your regions grow and how your nation projects influence in the world. Mastering politics is one of the three core pillars of the game — alongside military and economic strength — and the players who rise highest are usually those who take all three seriously.
## The Political System
Politics in Warfront Nations is built around a cycle of elections, offices, and governance. Players run for leadership positions within their regions and nations, compete for voter support from other players, and — if they win — take on real governing responsibilities that affect everyone in that state. Offices aren't ceremonial; the decisions you make in power have tangible effects on your economy, military capacity, and diplomatic standing. The political landscape shifts constantly as new candidates emerge, alliances shift, and elections determine who holds the reins of power.
## Running for Office
Breaking into politics requires more than just ambition. You need to establish yourself as a player with real influence before other players will back your candidacy. Follow these steps to pursue your first elected office.
You must be an established player with regions under your control before you can seek office. Build your territorial and economic base first — voters and the system both expect candidates to have demonstrated they can manage something before they're handed broader authority.
Once you meet the requirements, formally announce your candidacy for the office you're targeting. Your announcement becomes visible to eligible voters, so craft your platform around what you actually plan to do in office.
Winning an election in Warfront Nations isn't automatic — you need active support from other players. Reach out to allies, make your policy positions clear, and demonstrate why your leadership benefits the people voting for you. Players vote based on trust, shared interests, and political relationships built over time.
On election day, votes are tallied and the winner takes the position. If you've campaigned effectively and built genuine support, your name moves to the top. If you fall short, stay engaged — elections repeat, and each cycle is another opportunity.
Once elected, you immediately gain access to the governance tools tied to your office. Start with your policy priorities and set the tone for your term — other players will be watching how you perform.
## Governing Your State
Holding office gives you direct control over the levers that shape your state's development. Governing well builds your reputation and unlocks greater influence over time; governing poorly invites challengers and erodes your political standing.
* **Passing laws** — You can introduce and pass legislation that affects the regions under your jurisdiction. Laws can shape everything from production priorities to civil freedoms, and their effects ripple outward to every player operating within your state.
* **Managing the state budget** — You control how the state's funds are allocated across departments and priorities. Smart budgeting accelerates development; wasteful or corrupt spending undermines the state and makes you a target for political opponents.
* **Setting policies that impact economy and military** — The policies you put in place determine how efficiently your regions generate resources and how well your military is supported. A governor who aligns economic and military policy creates a compounding advantage over rivals who treat the two as separate concerns.
## Political Influence and Diplomacy
Holding office doesn't just give you authority inside your own state — it amplifies your voice at the diplomatic table. Other nations and players take elected officials more seriously in negotiations, because office-holders can actually deliver on commitments in ways that private players cannot. If you hold a significant position, you can broker deals, negotiate treaties, and shape alliances from a position of institutional credibility. See the [Diplomacy guide](/guide/diplomacy) for a full breakdown of how diplomatic relationships work and how political power feeds into them.
## Building a Political Legacy
The most impactful political players in Warfront Nations aren't those who win one election — they're the ones who build lasting systems. The laws you pass, the economic policies you set, and the alliances you forge while in office create a political legacy that outlasts any single term. Regions you develop while governing continue to benefit long after you leave office, and your reputation as a leader shapes how other players treat you in future negotiations and elections.
Think in terms of the long game. Short-term decisions that boost your popularity might undermine your state's stability down the road. Leaders who make difficult but sound decisions tend to earn deeper respect — and more durable political careers — than those who chase easy wins.
## State Treasury and Taxes
States manage a treasury funded by taxation and budget transactions. Tax configuration is set by parliamentary bill (see [Parliament & Elections](/guide/parliament-and-elections)).
| Setting | Default | Range / Cap |
| -------------------- | ------- | ------------ |
| Income tax | 10% | 0%–100% |
| Border crossing tax | 10% | 0%–50% |
| War declaration cost | 500 | configurable |
### Closed-Border Daily Maintenance
States that keep their borders closed pay a daily maintenance cost based on region count:
```text theme={null}
maintenance = 250 * regionCount * round(regionCount / 2)
```
(A baseline default of 50 exists in config, but the maintenance service uses the formula above.)
For party, election, and bill mechanics, see [Parliament & Elections](/guide/parliament-and-elections).
## Political vs. Military Power
Military conquest and political power serve different functions, and understanding the distinction helps you plan your overall strategy. Military action expands your territorial footprint — it's the fastest way to put more regions under your flag and push your borders outward. Political power, by contrast, deepens your control and influence over the regions you already hold. A territory you've captured through war is worth far more when backed by strong governance, sound economic policy, and a stable political structure than when it's simply occupied by troops.
Neither path replaces the other. The most dominant players in Warfront Nations treat political and military strategy as complementary — using military strength to create opportunities and political power to consolidate and capitalize on them.
Politics works alongside military and economic strategy, not instead of it. Even the most gifted politician needs a strong army to defend their regions and a healthy economy to fund their government. The players who reach the top of the leaderboard are almost always those who invest in all three pillars — military, economic, and political — rather than specializing in just one.
Some of the most effective political moves in Warfront Nations happen off the ballot. Forming alliances with players who already hold political power — or who have large, loyal voter bases — multiplies your influence far beyond what you could achieve alone. A well-connected political ally can deliver votes, co-sponsor legislation, and back you diplomatically in ways that give both of you an outsized impact on the game world.

Updating your profile only takes a moment. Here's how to do it:
Navigate to the main menu and select **Profile** to open your profile page.

Your profile photo appears next to your username throughout the game — in chat, on the world map, and in match results. It's completely optional, but a recognisable avatar helps other commanders remember who you are.
**To upload a profile photo:**
1. Enter edit mode on your profile page (see the steps above).
2. Click on the profile photo area or the upload button next to it.
3. Select an image file from your device.
4. Confirm your selection and save.

If your file exceeds 5 MB or uses an unsupported format, the upload will be rejected. Try resizing or re-exporting the image and uploading again.
## Bio
Your bio is a short piece of text that appears on your profile page, visible to any player who looks you up. Use it to introduce yourself, describe your strategy style, call out your alliance, or just say whatever feels right. It's entirely optional — you can leave it blank and your account will work just fine.
To add or update your bio, enter edit mode on your profile page, click into the bio field, type your text, and save. Keep it concise; a sentence or two is usually enough to make an impression.
## Your Game Statistics
Beyond the personal details, your profile automatically displays your nation's performance statistics — things like battles won, territory controlled, alliance history, and overall standing. These are generated from your in-game activity and update as you play. You don't need to manage them manually; they're always current.
Other players often glance at your stats before deciding whether to ally with you or declare war, so a strong record speaks louder than anything you could write in your bio.
## Viewing Other Players' Profiles
You can check out any player's public profile directly from inside the game. Click on a player's name wherever it appears — in chat, on the world map, or in a war report — and their profile page will open. You'll see their photo, bio, and game statistics, giving you a quick read on who you're dealing with before you commit to diplomacy or conflict.
Your username is set when you register your account and cannot be changed through the profile editor. If you need to update your username, contact support at [info@warfront-nations.com](mailto:info@warfront-nations.com).
# Resources and Energy in Warfront Nations
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/resources-and-energy
Money, Gold, Energy, and storage resources in Warfront Nations — costs, regeneration formulas, and energy drinks.
Every action in Warfront Nations consumes one of three core resources: **Money**, **Gold**, or **Energy**.
## Currencies
### Money
Main in-game currency. Used for travel, market trading, training (slow path), and general economy. Earned from factory work, missions, and World Boss participation.
### Gold
Premium currency. Used for:
* Perk training (fast path)
* Creating factories (200 gold), parties, and states
* Revolution wars (200 gold per participant)
* Energy drinks, cosmetics, and shop purchases
Earned from achievements, daily missions, World Boss, casino, or purchased via the [Premium shop](/guide/premium).
## Energy
Energy fuels work, war participation, and World Boss attacks.
| Tier | Starting | Max | Regeneration |
| -------- | -------- | --- | -------------------- |
| Standard | 100 | 100 | +10 every 30 minutes |
| Premium | 100 | 200 | +20 every 30 minutes |
**Endurance bonus:** `floor(endurance / 25)` extra energy every 30 minutes. So 25 endurance = +1, 50 endurance = +2, etc., stacked on top of base regen.
### Energy Drinks
* **Cost:** 100 gold each
* **Daily limit:** 3 purchases per day
* **Effect:** Restores energy to max (100 standard, 200 premium)
## Storage Resources
Raw and crafted materials in your storage:
* **Raw:** oil, ore, uranium, diamonds
* **Crafted units:** tanks, airplanes, ships
* **Consumables:** energy drinks
Raw materials come from factory work and can be sold on the [Market](/guide/market-and-crafting) or used in crafting. Military units are crafted from raw materials and deployed in [warfare](/guide/warfare).
Don't let energy sit at max — it's wasted regeneration. Spend it on jobs or wars whenever you log in.
# Managing Your States and Regions in Warfront Nations
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/states-and-regions
Learn how states and regions work in Warfront Nations — what you can build in them, how to grow your territory, and how to defend what you own.
States and regions are the building blocks of your nation. Every factory you raise, every army you field, and every gold coin in your treasury traces back to the territory you control. Understanding how regions work — how to develop them, how to gain more of them, and how to keep the ones you have — is the foundation of everything else you do in Warfront Nations.
## What Is a State?
In Warfront Nations, a **region** is a discrete geographic territory on the shared world map. It has borders, resources, and a controlling player. When you own a region, you govern it: you decide what gets built there, how it is defended, and how its output feeds your broader war machine.
A **state** is a collection of regions that you govern as a unified political entity. As you conquer and absorb new territory, your state grows in size, population, and economic output. States are the lens through which the game tracks your political standing — larger, more developed states carry greater influence in the game world.
## Region Types
Every region has one of four statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
| -------------- | --------------------------------------------------- |
| `independent` | Not controlled by any state |
| `state_member` | Part of a state |
| `autonomy` | Autonomous region |
| `private` | Protected starter-style region (e.g., **Valhalla**) |
## Region Attributes
Regions track:
* Name and country code
* Population
* Latitude and longitude
* Neighboring borders
* Sea access
* Pollution
* Tax rate
* Market taxes
* Factory output taxes
* Health index
* Military index
* Education index
* Development index
* Residency-for-work permission
* Available resources: gold, oil, ore, uranium, diamonds
* Current state owner (if any)
* Last revolution / coup timestamps
* Initial attack and defense damage values
## State Attributes
States track:
* Name, description, flag, and picture
* Treasury
* Resource reserves
* Controlled regions
* Leader
* Allies and enemies
* Open or closed borders
* Government type: **republic** or **dictatorship**
* Parliament members
* Parliament seat count (default **7**)
* Public approval rating (default **50**)
* Tax configuration (see [Politics](/guide/politics))
* Budget transactions and summaries
## Your Starting Region
Every player begins with a single starting region assigned during registration. This region is your home base and your first foothold on the world map. It comes with a basic level of development already in place, giving you something to work with immediately.
Your starting region is also your most important region to protect. Losing it to an enemy is a significant setback — treat it as the cornerstone of your early strategy rather than just another tile on the map.
## Region Development
Once you control a region, you can invest in it. Building up your regions increases their economic output, strengthens their defenses, and expands the range of military options available to you. Development takes time and gold, so think carefully about what each region needs most before you commit resources.
Factories and commercial infrastructure increase the gold income your region generates each cycle. Prioritize economic buildings in your most secure, well-positioned regions so output is never interrupted by enemy raids.
Barracks, fortifications, and command posts let you station larger forces and generate military units within the region. Fortified regions are significantly harder for enemies to capture and can anchor an entire defensive line.
Some regions sit atop valuable natural resources. Building extraction infrastructure unlocks that resource income and can give you a substantial advantage in sustaining prolonged military campaigns or fueling heavy industrial output.
Roads, supply lines, and logistical networks speed up unit movement and reduce the cost of sustaining armies in the field. Good infrastructure connects your regions into a coherent whole rather than a collection of isolated outposts.
## Gaining New Regions
Your nation grows by adding regions to the territory you control. There are two primary paths to expansion:
**Warfare** — Declaring war on a neighboring nation and successfully defeating their forces in a region allows you to occupy and annex it. Military conquest is the fastest route to expansion but carries real risk: it consumes military resources, draws enemy attention, and can trigger defensive alliances you may not have anticipated.
**Political and diplomatic means** — Not all territorial transfers happen at the point of a sword. Diplomatic agreements, political influence, and alliance arrangements can bring regions under your control without open conflict. These paths tend to be slower but leave you in a stronger political position and with fewer enemies on your border.
Whichever path you choose, every new region you add appears immediately on the world map for all players to see, reshaping the visible balance of power in real time.
## Losing Regions
If an enemy nation defeats your defending forces in a region and successfully occupies it, that region changes hands. The enemy's flag flies where yours once did, and all the development you built there now serves their nation instead of yours.
Losing a region is painful but not fatal — many successful commanders have rebuilt after losing significant territory. What matters is how you respond: whether you marshal a counteroffensive, consolidate your remaining regions into a more defensible position, or seek alliance partners to help you reclaim what was taken.
The speed and completeness of your response depends heavily on how developed and defended your remaining regions are. A player who spread investment evenly across all their territory tends to recover faster than one who concentrated everything in the regions they lost.
## The States View
The **States** screen, accessible from the main navigation, gives you a structured overview of every region under your control. From this view you can:
* See the development level and current output of each region
* Manage construction queues for new buildings
* Review the military forces stationed in each location
* Monitor any ongoing threats or active conflicts affecting your territory
Make it a regular stop alongside the world map. The States screen gives you the operational detail the map does not — it tells you not just where your territory is, but what condition it is in and whether it is pulling its weight.
Never leave regions undefended. An ungarrisoned region on a contested border is an open invitation — any enemy with adjacent territory can move in and claim it with minimal cost to themselves. Even a modest defensive force raises the price of conquest enough to deter opportunistic attackers and buy you time to respond.
To see your regions in their broader strategic context, open the [World Map](/guide/world-map). For guidance on funding your region development and managing your gold, see the [Economy guide](/guide/economy). When you are ready to expand through military action, the [Warfare guide](/guide/warfare) walks you through declaring war and seizing new territory. Diplomatic routes to expansion are covered in the [Alliances guide](/guide/alliances).
# Training, Perks, and Level Progression in Warfront Nations
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/training-and-progression
Train strength, endurance, and intelligence; understand the exact time, cost, and XP formulas, and how leveling works in Warfront Nations.
Your character grows along two tracks: **perks** (strength, endurance, intelligence) and **levels** (account XP).
## Perks
Each training session adds **+1** to the chosen stat.
| Perk | Effect |
| ---------------- | -------------------------------------------------- |
| **Strength** | Increases combat damage |
| **Endurance** | Adds `floor(endurance / 25)` energy per regen tick |
| **Intelligence** | Boosts factory production (education multiplier) |
## Training Time
Frontend time formula:
```text theme={null}
base = 1 - educationIndex / 50
// If educationIndex == 11, use 20 instead of base
time = base * (currentStat + 1)^2 * multiplier
```
**Multipliers:**
* Gold training: `0.72`
* Money training: `9.6`
**Discounts applied to time:**
* Premium: `÷ 2`
* Stat ≤ 100: additional `÷ 2`
* Stat ≤ 50: additional `÷ 2`
## Training Cost
Where `newLevel` is the resulting stat value and `hours` is training duration:
```text theme={null}
Gold cost = round(2 * newLevel + 0.0735 * newLevel^1.2 * hours)
Money cost = round(200 * newLevel + 273.5 * newLevel^1.2 * hours)
```
## Training XP
XP reward from a completed training session:
```text theme={null}
xp = round(3 * durationInMinutes)
```
## Levels and Experience
XP required to reach the next level:
```text theme={null}
xpRequired = 100 * level^2
```
You earn XP from:
* **Factory work** — 1 XP per energy spent
* **War participation** — 2 XP per energy spent
* **World Boss** — scales with damage
* **Training** — see formula above
* **Daily missions** — fixed amounts per mission
Higher level boosts damage in combat and World Boss attacks (see [Warfare](/guide/warfare)).
Train in regions with a high education index (closer to 50) for faster perk progression — the time formula scales steeply with `currentStat^2`.
# Travel and Travel Permissions in Warfront Nations
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/travel
Travel time, cost, and permission rules in Warfront Nations — Haversine distance, sea crossings, speed travel, and border requests.
## Travel Mechanics
Distance between regions uses the **Haversine formula** with Earth radius **6,371 km**. Base travel speed is **300 km/h**.
### Travel Time
```text theme={null}
time = (distance / 300) * 60 // minutes
time = time * 0.1 // base scaling
// Modifiers (multiplicative):
sea crossing : * 1.5
same state : * 0.8
speed travel : * 0.5
time = round(time) // nearest minute
```
### Travel Cost
| Mode | Cost |
| ------------- | ---------------------------- |
| Normal travel | `round(distance * 1)` money |
| Speed travel | `round(distance * 0.5)` gold |
### Special Cases
* Your **first travel from Valhalla** (the private starter region) is **instant and free**.
* You **cannot start a new trip** while a current trip is in progress.
## Travel Permissions
Permission is **not** required when:
* Traveling within the same state
* Traveling to an **independent** region
* The destination state has **open borders**
* It's your first travel from Valhalla
* You are a state leader
Otherwise, you submit a request to the destination state's leader:
* **Approved** — you depart on the standard schedule
* **Rejected** — any travel cost paid is **refunded**
## Border Crossing Tax
Destination states can charge a **border crossing tax** (default 10%, capped at 50%) on inbound travelers, paid to the state treasury on top of base travel cost.
For budgets and policy changes see [Politics](/guide/politics) and [Parliament & Elections](/guide/parliament-and-elections).
# Warfare Guide: Command Your Armies in Warfront Nations
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/warfare
Learn how to declare war, command your armies in real-time combat, capture enemy territory, and defend your nation in Warfront Nations.
Warfare is the most direct path to expanding your nation in Warfront Nations. Every battle unfolds in real time on a shared global map, meaning your tactical decisions — where to strike, when to defend, and how to allocate your forces — determine whether your nation rises or falls. Understanding how the combat system works gives you an immediate edge over less-prepared opponents.
## How Wars Work
Wars in Warfront Nations are declared between individual players or entire alliances and play out in real time on the world map. Once a war begins, both sides can move troops, launch offensives, and respond to enemy advances as events unfold — there are no turns, no waiting, and no pausing. Every hour you spend at war reshapes your position on the map and your standing among other nations.
## Declaring War
Before your first offensive, you need to formally declare war through the Wars section of the main menu. Rushing into a declaration without preparation can leave you exposed, so take a moment to review your military readiness first.
Open the main menu and select **Wars**. This page shows all active conflicts across the world map, including wars involving your allies and enemies.
Browse the list of nations or locate your intended target directly on the world map. Review their territory, recent activity, and any alliances they hold before committing.
Before confirming, read through the declaration terms carefully. These outline the conditions of the conflict and any potential diplomatic consequences with third-party nations.
Once you confirm, the war is officially live and visible to all players on the server. Your target receives an alert, and combat can begin immediately — make sure your forces are already in position.
## Combat Formulas
### Damage Per Attack
```text theme={null}
damage = floor(energy * 100 * (1 + strength / 100 + level / 200))
```
Higher strength and level both scale your output, but the bulk of your damage still comes from the energy you spend.
### Weapon Multiplier (Ground / Air / Sea Wars)
Deploy crafted units alongside your energy to boost damage:
* **Ground wars** → tanks
* **Air wars** → airplanes
* **Sea wars** → ships
```text theme={null}
maxWeapons = energy * 5
multiplier = 1 + min(weaponsPerEnergy, 5) * 0.4
// Hard cap: 3x
```
### Manual Participation
Manually joining a war **spends all your current energy** in one go. Plan your stack accordingly.
### XP
You earn **2 XP per energy spent** in war participation (double the factory work rate).
## War Costs and Duration
## Combat System
Warfront Nations uses a real-time combat engine where the quality of your decisions matters as much as the size of your army. Leaving your forces on autopilot while a skilled opponent maneuvers against you is a quick path to defeat.
* **Real-time battles** — There are no turns. Attacks land, defenses hold or break, and territory changes hands continuously. Log in frequently during active conflicts to adjust your strategy as the situation evolves.
* **Land and sea combat** — You can command armies across both land and coastal regions. Naval power opens up new attack routes and lets you project force onto islands and distant coastlines that landlocked players can't reach.
* **Multi-front offensives** — Spreading your enemy thin across multiple fronts forces them to make hard choices about where to commit their defenses. Coordinating simultaneous attacks from different directions is one of the most effective strategies in the game.
* **Defending your borders** — Offense wins territory, but defense wins wars. Station troops at key chokepoints, reinforce vulnerable regions before an attack arrives, and use terrain to your advantage when holding a position against a larger force.
## Military Resources
Your army runs on resources. Troops need to be recruited, equipped, and sustained — all of which draw from your nation's economic output. Factories and resource regions feed your military capacity, so the size and quality of the army you can field is directly tied to how well you've developed your economy.
Keep a close eye on your resource stockpiles during active wars. A prolonged conflict drains supplies quickly, and an army that runs out of equipment mid-campaign becomes a liability. Prioritize securing resource-rich territories early to maintain the flow of materials your military depends on.
## Capturing Territory
When your forces defeat enemy troops in a region, you gain the ability to occupy and claim that territory. Captured regions immediately begin contributing to your resource base and extend your strategic reach across the map. Every conquest you make is permanent and visible to all players — the world map updates in real time to reflect the shifting balance of power.
Focus your offensives on regions that give you strategic value: resource deposits, border buffer zones, or positions that cut off enemy supply lines. Randomly grabbing territory without a plan stretches your defenses and makes you harder to coordinate.
## Skill Mastery
The more you fight, the better your commanders and units become. As you accumulate combat experience, you unlock powerful skills that let you specialize your forces for specific roles — elite shock infantry, fast-moving cavalry, hardened naval crews, or precision strike units. Investing in skill development early pays off over the long run, transforming a generic army into a force tailored to your preferred fighting style.
Specializing your units also gives you a measurable edge in repeated engagements. Players who skip skill development tend to plateau, while commanders who invest in mastery continue to grow stronger with every battle.
## Victory and Defeat
Winning a war means forcing your opponent to accept peace on your terms — whether that means capturing their capital, exhausting their resources, or simply outlasting their will to fight. A decisive victory earns you territory, resources, and reputation among other players.
Losing a war has real consequences. You may be forced to cede territory, pay reparations, or absorb damage to your economic infrastructure that takes time to repair. A defeat isn't the end — many great commanders have rebuilt from setbacks — but it does set you back and gives your rivals an opening to press their advantage.
Declaring war without solid economic backing is one of the most common mistakes new players make. An underfunded army burns through resources quickly, leaving you unable to sustain your campaign. Before you declare, make sure your factories and resource regions can support a prolonged conflict — not just the opening offensive.
Wars are far easier to win with allies at your side. Coordinating a joint offensive with alliance partners lets you strike multiple targets simultaneously, overwhelm a defender's ability to respond, and share the resource burden of a long campaign. Before declaring a major war, talk to your allies and plan together. See the [Alliances guide](/guide/alliances) for tips on building and coordinating with your alliance.
# World Boss Events in Warfront Nations
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/world-boss
Daily global boss with 10,000,000 HP and a 500 gold / 10,000 money reward pool split by damage contribution.
## Spawn Schedule
* **Frequency:** once daily
* **Spawn time:** random, between 1 and 18 hours after midnight UTC
* **Active window:** 6 hours
* **Health:** 10,000,000
* **States:** active, defeated, expired
## Damage Formula
Same formula as standard warfare:
```text theme={null}
damage = floor(energy * 100 * (1 + strength / 100 + level / 200))
```
Higher [training](/guide/training-and-progression) directly increases your damage per energy spent.
## Rewards
Reward pool is split by damage contribution:
* **500 gold** total
* **10,000 money** total
Reward share for each participant:
```text theme={null}
share = playerDamage / totalDamage
gold = max(1, floor(share * 500))
money = max(100, floor(share * 10000))
```
World Boss participation also rewards XP and counts toward the daily mission.
Don't dump all your energy in the first minute. Spreading attacks lets you react to the damage race — minimum payouts (1 gold / 100 money) guarantee something even for tiny contributions.
# World Map: Navigate and Conquer in Warfront Nations
Source: https://wiki.warfront-nations.com/guide/world-map
Understand how the shared global map works in Warfront Nations — view territories, track battles, and plan your expansion across the world.
The world map is the beating heart of Warfront Nations. Every player — from freshly enlisted commanders to seasoned warlords — shares the same persistent globe, competing in real time for control of its territories. What you see on the map is exactly what every other player sees: a living, ever-shifting record of conquest, alliance, and conflict that reflects every battle being fought at this very moment.
## What You See on the Map
The map displays the entire game world at a glance, packed with information you can use to assess the balance of power and spot your next opportunity.
* **Colored territories** — Each region on the map is filled with a color tied to its controlling nation. Your own territories appear in your nation's color, making it easy to see the shape of your empire and how it compares to your neighbors.
* **Territory borders** — Clear boundary lines mark where one nation ends and another begins. Borders shift whenever a region changes hands, so the map is always an accurate picture of the current political landscape.
* **Active war zones** — Regions currently under attack or contested are visually flagged, letting you track ongoing conflicts across the globe even when you are not personally involved.
* **Allied territory** — Regions held by your allies are distinguishable from neutral or enemy territory, helping you visualize the combined footprint of your coalition.
* **Neutral regions** — Unclaimed or independent territories show up in a neutral color, signaling expansion opportunities that no one has seized yet.
## What the Map Tracks
The world map is more than a picture. Each region exposes data you can use to plan where to travel, work, expand, attack, or defend:
* Region name
* Country code
* Ownership state
* Population
* Coordinates (latitude / longitude)
* Bordering regions
* Sea access
* Resource availability (gold, oil, ore, uranium, diamonds)
* Regional status (`independent`, `state_member`, `autonomy`, `private`)
* Development, education, military, and health indexes
* Pollution
* Factories
* Local players / citizens
See [States and Regions](/guide/states-and-regions) for the full attribute reference.
## Reading the Map
Learning to read the map quickly turns raw visual information into actionable intelligence.
**Identifying ownership** — Click or hover over any region to see who controls it, along with basic information about that nation's strength. This tells you whether a neighbor is a rising power worth allying with or a vulnerable target worth attacking.
**Finding your neighbors** — The regions that share a border with your territory are your most immediate strategic concern. Scan around your borders regularly to see whether neighbors are expanding aggressively, fortifying defensively, or leaving themselves exposed.
**Spotting conflict zones** — Regions tagged as contested show you where wars are already being fought. Active conflict elsewhere in the world can signal opportunities — a nation fighting on multiple fronts is stretched thin and may be vulnerable to a new offensive from your direction.
**Gauging power distribution** — Step back and look at the broader map. Large, contiguous blocs of the same color indicate dominant powers. Fragmented, scattered territory often belongs to weaker or newer players. Understanding this distribution helps you decide whether to punch up, punch down, or consolidate before expanding.
## Planning Your Expansion
The map is your primary strategic planning tool. Before you declare war or begin mobilizing troops, study it carefully.
**Choosing your targets** — Look for regions directly adjacent to your territory that are lightly defended or belong to nations already engaged in wars elsewhere. Overextended opponents rarely have the resources to fight on a new front.
**Identifying chokepoints** — Some regions are geographic bottlenecks — narrow corridors that connect larger land masses or separate major power blocs. Controlling a chokepoint lets you restrict enemy movement and project power far beyond what your territory count alone would suggest.
**Protecting your flanks** — Expansion in one direction can leave your other borders exposed. Use the map to make sure you are not creating a vulnerable salient. Regions that form a natural defensive perimeter — rivers, mountain ranges, coastlines — are worth prioritizing even if they are not the richest prizes.
**Coordinating with allies** — Share your map observations with alliance partners. Coordinated advances from multiple directions can overwhelm even well-defended nations, and the map makes it straightforward to synchronize your movements with allied forces.
## Map and Real-Time Play
Warfront Nations is a real-time game, and the map reflects that with no delay. The moment a battle concludes and a region changes hands, the map updates for every player in the world. There is no fog of war between rounds — conquest is instant, public, and permanent until someone takes it back.
This means the map is never stale. A region that belonged to an ally an hour ago may now be flying enemy colors. A nation you dismissed as harmless yesterday may have swept through a weaker opponent overnight and now shares your border. The map rewards players who check in frequently and adapt their plans to what is actually happening on the ground.
Make a habit of opening the map at the start of each session before taking any other action. A quick scan of your borders and the nearest conflict zones takes less than a minute and can prevent you from walking into a disaster you never saw coming.
For more on the territories displayed on the map, see [States and Regions](/guide/states-and-regions). To understand the economic forces driving territorial expansion, visit the [Economy guide](/guide/economy). When you are ready to start taking territory, the [Warfare guide](/guide/warfare) covers everything you need to know about declaring and winning wars.
You can access the world map at any time by clicking **Map** in the main navigation bar. No special unlocks or premium status required — the full global map is available to every player from the moment they enlist.
