Password Best Practices
Your password is the first line of defence for your account. Follow these guidelines to keep it strong:- Use a unique password — don’t reuse a password from another website or game. If that other service is ever breached, attackers will try the same credentials on other accounts.
- Make it strong — use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. A longer passphrase (four or more random words) is both strong and easier to remember.
- Use a password manager — tools like Bitwarden or 1Password can generate and store strong, unique passwords for every site, so you only need to remember one master password.
- Change your password immediately if you suspect a problem — if you notice any suspicious activity on your account, don’t wait. Reset your password right away.
Login Sessions
When you sign in, Warfront Nations creates a session that keeps you logged in for up to 7 days. Here’s what that means in practice:- You won’t need to sign in again on your personal device for up to a week.
- Sessions are protected by secure, encrypted cookies designed to guard against common web attacks.
- Always log out when using a shared or public device — on a library computer, a friend’s machine, or any device that isn’t yours, manually sign out when you’re done. Don’t rely on the session expiring on its own.
- Logging in from a new or unrecognised device may trigger additional security checks to verify it’s really you.
Device Recognition
To protect your account from unauthorised access, Warfront Nations uses device fingerprinting when you log in or register. The game collects basic technical details about your browser environment, including:- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Screen resolution
- Browser language
Device Verification
Device verification protects your account when login behavior changes. If both the device fingerprint and the IP address change, the account may require email verification before login continues. The verification token:- Is sent by email
- Expires after 24 hours
- Must be used from the same device that triggered verification
- Is cleared after successful verification
- Can be resent while still valid
Two Sign-In Methods
Warfront Nations supports two ways to access your account. Choose the one that fits how you manage your online security.- Email & Password
- Google OAuth
The standard sign-in method uses the email address and password you provided at registration.
- Keep your password strong and unique (see the guidelines above).
- Never share your password with anyone — Warfront Nations staff will never ask for it.
- If you forget your password, use the Forgot Password flow (see below) to securely reset it.
- Consider using a password manager to generate and store a strong password you don’t have to memorise.
Forgot Your Password?
If you can’t remember your password, resetting it is straightforward:1
Go to the forgot-password page
Visit warfront-nations.com/forgot-password in your browser.
2
Enter your email address
Type in the email address associated with your Warfront Nations account and submit the form.
3
Check your inbox
Look for an email from Warfront Nations with a password reset link. Check your spam or junk folder if it doesn’t arrive within a few minutes.
4
Set a new password
Click the link in the email and follow the on-screen instructions to choose a new, strong password. The link expires after a short time for security reasons, so use it promptly.
If Your Account Is Compromised
If you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission — unusual activity, changed settings, unrecognised purchases, or messages you didn’t send — act immediately:- Contact support right away at [email protected].
- Describe what you’ve noticed — include details like when you first saw the problem, what changed, and any relevant context about your recent logins.
- The team will investigate and work with you to secure your account and help you regain access as quickly as possible.
Deleting Your Account
If you decide you no longer want to play Warfront Nations and want your data removed, you can request full account deletion: In-game self-service deletion is available through an authenticated account deletion endpoint in your account settings. This is a permanent deletion path in the backend — not just a profile deactivation. All of your data — account, profile, game history, chat messages, and any associated information — is removed. You can also request deletion by email:- Send an email to [email protected] requesting account deletion.
- Include the username and email address associated with your account so support can identify it.
- All of your data will be permanently and fully deleted.
